What Is a JSON Validator?
A JSON validator checks whether a piece of text follows the JSON specification correctly matched brackets and braces, properly quoted keys, no trailing commas before you rely on it in code. Instead of scanning a payload line by line looking for a stray character, the validator parses it for you and points to exactly where things break down.
The NexaTools JSON Validator runs entirely in your browser. Your JSON is never sent to a server, so it's safe to check payloads containing tokens, credentials, or other sensitive values.

Who Should Use This Tool
This JSON validator is built for anyone who needs to confirm a piece of JSON is well-formed before relying on it. That includes:
Developers checking whether an API response or config file parses correctly before wiring it into code.
Freelancers and agencies verifying JSON payloads for client projects before deployment.
Students and hobbyists learning JSON syntax who want fast, clear feedback on mistakes.
Anyone without dev tools installed who needs to validate JSON without opening a terminal or IDE.
Common Use Cases
Pre-deployment checks. Confirm a config or data file is valid JSON before it goes into production.
Debugging broken JSON. Find the exact character position of a syntax error instead of scanning the file by eye.
Verifying API responses. Quickly check that a copied API response is well-formed before using it elsewhere.
Learning JSON syntax. Test small JSON snippets while learning the correct structure and formatting rules.
Common Problems & Troubleshooting
It says my JSON is invalid but it looks fine. Common culprits are trailing commas, single quotes instead of double quotes, or unquoted keys check the reported error position closely.
Copy button doesn't seem to work. Some browsers block clipboard access until you interact with the page first; click anywhere on the page, then try Copy Result again.
Nothing happens when I click Validate or Format. Check that you've pasted JSON into the input box both actions need content to process.
The page feels slow with a huge JSON file. Very large files (several MB) run entirely in your browser, so processing can take a moment.
